Meet Princess! Princess is the perfect little pig, though she isn't as little as you'd expect. Princess came to us from a family who decided they just didn’t want her anymore. The young girl was desperately trying to find a home for her before her parents dumped her in the wild. Pigs are quite resilient and highly intelligent, but this would not have been a good option for Princess, as she had been a pet her entire life. As with most farm animals, she wasn't seen as deserving the effort of finding a new home. Like cats and dogs, animals are often released into the wild, into situations where they won't survive. We were excited to give her a new life, and she was easily lured out of the trailer with strawberries, one of her favorites. Princess is a gentle giant, not even at the top of the little pig ladder, despite her being double the size of the other pigs. She is a lover, not a fighter. If you visit, she'll likely be snuggling with Pee Wee or pushing an old volleyball around the yard. She loves to have hose showers and is the most patient little pig when it comes to dinner time. We love having peaceful Princess the pig as a member of our family.
